Viruman: Everything You Need to Know about Karthi Starrer Tamil Masala Film

INDIA: Karthi starrer Tamil film Viruman premiered on August 12, 2022. The film received mixed reviews from critics but had great feedback from audiences.

M. Muthaiah helmed the adventure-action film while he also penned the story for the mass entertainer. Viruman stars Karthi in the lead role, and Aditi Shankar also joins the film’s ensemble cast. The film marks the debut film of the actress, starring her in a prominent role. The features portray a talented range of cast, which includes Prakash Raj, Rajkiran, Karunas, Vadivukkarasi, and Saranya Ponvannan.

The producing team also comprises famous Tamil film industry personalities. Suriya and Jyothika produced the mass entertainer film under the banner of 2D Entertainment. Yuvan Shankar Raja provided the music for the film which garnered excellent feedback from fans.

Viruman depicts a return of the village story in the film industry

Viruman portrays the tale of a youngster (played by Karthi) who flees his home after discovering that his father (played by Prakash Raj) is the reason for his mother’s suicide. Viruman subsequently pledges to kill his father after discovering the truth, which creates a rivalry between the two characters.

The trailer featured the return of the Village storyline to the film industry. M. Muthaiah made his feature film debut in 2013 with Kutti Puli, a rural drama. The movie received varying reviews but performed satisfactorily at the box office.

Muthaiah’s unique technique to direct stories set in rural areas emerges as his signature style. Viruman isn’t the first film where Muthaiah and Karthi have worked together. The two previously collaborated on the action-drama film Komban in 2015.

The rawness and a grounded touch of Muthaiah’s film is the main reason that attracts the audience. The film marks the return of Prakash Raj in the role of antagonist, which confirms the grasp of the talented actor.

Besides Viruman, Kaithi 2 lands as Karthi’s most anticipated film. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial film spawned the start of the cinematic universe.
