INDIA: Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the passage of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women’s Reservation Bill) in the Lok Sabha, stating that it will empower women and contribute to gender-inclusive and equitable development in India.

Shah emphasized that this legislation, which guarantees one-third of seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies for women, represents a historic milestone in women’s empowerment.
