Yogi Grades Himself on Completion of 100 Days as UP’s CM for the Second Term

We have fulfilled all our promises from 'Sankalp Patra'

INDIA.Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh(UP) Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath concluded his victories at Rampur and Azamgarh in the recently held Lok Sabha by-poll by presenting his government’s 100-day report card of his second term as state’s CM.

Yogi presented his government’s achievements since he won UP elections for the second time, early this year. He said that his government has stood for service, security and good governance, as promised to his people. To mark the occasion, Yogi also launched a book named, “100 days of service, security and good governance.”

The CM claimed that he divided the development work into 10 sectors namely medical and health, urban development, social security, agriculture, industry, culture, education, revenue and law. And all these sectors were given set targets to be achieved within 100 days.

He also mentioned that special attention has been given to the law and order of the state citing that now every police station has a cyber desk, and 30 new fire stations have been approved. About 25 new fire stations have been inaugurated on July 01.

Interacting with media, the UP CM, along with his deputies Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brijesh Pathak and Minister of Jal Shakti & Disaster Management, Swatantra Dev Singh, said UP is lining up to become a one trillion dollar economy in the coming period of five years. And this would be our contribution towards the nation’s target of becoming a five trillion dollar economy.

Yogi pointed out that the first budget in his second term was of Rs 6.15 lakh crore , which was just double the state’s budget of 2017. He went on saying that “Sankalp Patra” which we presented had 130 points and 95  points have already been taken care of. And the rest of the points are also being pursued.

Talking about the accomplishments, the CM talked about the 296-km Bundelkhand Expressway which was completed in time and would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi next week. However, the expressway had been under construction since the first tenure of the BJP government. “PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojna has given ration to over 15 crore people, a decision we took in our first cabinet itself. 1.66 crore beneficiaries will get an LPG cylinder for free on Holi & Diwali from now onwards,” he added.

He went on and said, “Air travels in the state are so much more convenient now. Back in 2017 we only had 2 airports while 2 were under construction. Now we have 9 fully functional airports while 10 more are being constructed.”

Yogi added that illegal property worth Rs 844 crore have been restored from the mafias of the state. All illegal constructions have been demolished.

The state government also freed 68,784 encroachment sites and 76,196 illegal parking places from the clutches of the mafias.

Coming to lowering the crime rate in the state he said that about 2,273 criminals involved in crimes against women have been penalised under POCSO Act.
