INDIA: The tech behemoth Apple recently announced the launch of the new 4K edition of the Apple TV. The Apple TV 4K features the A15 Bionic chip that also powers last year’s Apple iPhone 13 line-up. This upgrade will allow smoother performance.
The A12 Bionic chipset has been upgraded to the newer A15 Bionic, which is said to have been modified to give this Apple TV 4K further benefits, such as compatibility with HDR10+ content.
Specifications for the Apple TV 4K
Apple has updated its Apple TV 4K and is preparing to officially introduce it alongside the iPad (tenth generation) and iPad Masters, which are powered by the Apple M2 chipset.
A comparison between the recently released Apple TV 4K and other previously launched series shows that it appears to be fairly equivalent from a design perspective, much like the subsequent tablet devices.
The new Apple TV 4K is smaller in size and weighs half as much as the versions from the previous year. It seems that Apple could have likely deleted the fan component from the device with such a design adjustment and the difference in size and weight.
With the release of the Apple TV 4K, Apple has demonstrated its next step toward developing a USB Type-C connector that will support the Apple TV series for this year. Apple has begun transitioning from its newly designed Lightning Port to a universally used Type-C port.
Support for Thread on this new Apple TV 4K makes it possible to utilise it as a Smart Home Hub with HomeKit and Matter.
This new Apple TV 4K receives a significant speed boost thanks to the new A15 Bionic chipset, as well as a bigger improvement on the CPU side, with up to 50% improvement and a 30% gain in graphic capabilities.
The new model also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1, and Wi-Fi 6, all of which were offered by the model before it.
Pricing for Apple TV 4K
Starting at Rs 14,900, the new Apple TV 4K with Siri Remote will be sold at Apple Store locations as well as online at apple.com/in/store.
Additionally, select pay-TV providers and Apple Authorized Resellers sell Apple TV 4K. The new Apple TV 4K will go on sale in more than 30 nations on Friday, November 4.
