Cyclone Tauktae: 26 Dead, 49 Still Missing From Barge P305, Search And Rescue Operations Underway

The bodies of 26 crew members of Accommodation Barge P-305, which sank, about 35 miles off Mumbai on May 17, were retrieved by the Indian Navy’s Search and Rescue (SAR) operations team, even as 49 crew members remained missing as of Wednesday evening.

Nearly 81 crew are reported missing, after a barge was sunk, about 35 nautical miles from Mumbai in the Mumbai Offshore Development Area, after a cyclone Tauktae ripped through it, even as the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard continued search and rescue operations (SAR) on Tuesday.
