SPAIN: European Cricket League (ECL) witnessed a thrilling match between Dreux (DRX) and Bevren (BEV). The sluggish start of the game by Bevren resulted in their ultimate loss with DRX winning the ECL Championship week match by 8 wickets, which was held at Cartama Oval, Spain.

DRX Vs BEV

BEV won the toss and selected to bat first. The team had a slow start due to an early wicket and a tidy 3rd over by Afridi Yaseen, only managing to score 21 runs in 3 overs.

Due to a slow run rate, the pressure continued to build up, and BEV lost yet another wicket.

BEV was yet to recover from this situation, and Tabish Bhatti gave a big blow to BEV by taking 3 wickets in a single over (6th over).

Bhatti took a total of 4 wickets, only conceding 7 runs in his 2 overs. In the end, BEV managed to score 84/7 in 10 overs, with Abdul Rashid (15) being the highest run scorer.

DRX started off strong by scoring 15 runs in the first over, gaining early momentum.

Ahmad Nabi and skipper Mohammad Nisar then scored a whopping 30 runs in the 4th over, nearly taking the game away from BEV.

Ahmad Nabi’s outstanding performance of 38 runs in just 16 balls, including 6 sixes, gave DRX the edge they needed to chase down the target in 7.5 overs.

Skipper Nisar remained not out on 30 with 3 sixes and a four, while BEV only managed to take 2 wickets.

With such a dominant win, DRX will be looking to build on this momentum as they move further into the ECL Championship Week.
