UNITED STATES: Elon Musk has unveiled an initiative wherein his platform, X, will cover the legal expenses of individuals who face unfair treatment from employers due to their posts or likes on the former Twitter platform.

Musk emphasized that there will be no limits on the funding provided for legal bills, and the platform will not impose any caps on the funding amount.

Responding to a post suggesting that legal action is the only effective recourse for changing behavior in the US, Musk clarified that their actions will extend beyond lawsuits and encompass targeting company boards of directors as well.

In late May, Musk highlighted a noteworthy achievement: X’s user count surpassed 540 million monthly users, showcasing the platform’s efforts to counteract declining advertising revenue.

This development follows a series of statements by X executives asserting the platform’s robust utilization, particularly in the wake of Meta Platforms’ introduction of a rival platform called Threads on July 5.

In a separate tweet, Musk alluded to the possibility of a hypothetical altercation with Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, being broadcast live on X.

Since June, the two tech moguls have exchanged playful challenges to participate in a mixed martial arts cage match in Las Vegas.

Musk further declared that the hypothetical showdown between Musk and Zuck will indeed be streamed live on X.

Musk shared that any proceeds generated from the event will be donated to a veterans’ organization. As of now, there has been no immediate response from Meta regarding this matter.

Elon Musk has recently rebranded Twitter as X and introduced a revamped design, envisioning it as an “everything app” after 17 years.

However, the platform is grappling with negative cash flow due to a 50% decline in advertising revenue and substantial debt. The anticipated surge in advertising revenue projected for June did not materialize as expected.
