Genshin Impact: The Popular Video Game is Set to Debut in an Anime Venture

JAPAN: Genshin Impact fans rejoice! The fan-favourite action role-playing game (RPG) bagged an anime adaptation. Yes, you read it correctly; HoYoverse and Studio Ufotable will develop the upcoming series based on the popular video game. The announcement was made during the game update Livestream, and it came as a complete surprise to the gamers.

In addition to the announcement, the studio released an anime concept trailer for fans. The official video incorporates visually stunning CG sequences with 2-D animation.

Genshin Impact is a popular 2017 action RPG game developed under the banner of miHoYo. Since its debut, the free-to-play game has been released on almost every platform, including Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows. Now it will also be available for Nintendo Switch.  

The game gained extensive acclaim for its innovative graphics and engaging gameplay. The directed action elements, as well as the world-building aspects, became a popular topic among gamers. Providing both Single-player and multiplayer aspects, it continues to expand its fanbase.

The Genshin Impact Livestream featured a multitude of announcements for gamers. Out of all the game updates, the anime announcement was a huge astonishment to gamers and anime fans. At the end of the Livestream, the creators also released a concept trailer for the upcoming anime series.

The Genshin Impact concept video showcased Paimon, Lumine, and Aether. In addition to the main characters, the trailer featured highly immersive CG animation mixed with 2D animation. It will be no surprise if the anime showcases the fusion of both animation styles, as Studio Ufotable is well-known for brilliantly blending 2D and 3D animation styles.

HoYoverse and anime powerhouse Ufotable will collaborate on the Genshin Impact anime adaptation. Both are well-known titles in their respective fields, with highly successful ventures. Studio Ufotable is widely popular for its masterclass animation in Demon Slayer.

Aside from the anime announcement and concept trailer, the developers have not revealed any significant details about the story, voice actors, or the release date. With such big names in the gaming and anime industries, fans have high hopes for the upcoming anime. Furthermore, the fact that the series’ source material is based on a popular action video game creates a buzz among fans.
