UNITED STATES: Dreamworks Animations is currently working on the fourth instalment of Kung Fu Panda. This time, The Dragon Master is back with a release date. Kung Fu Panda 4 is scheduled to hit theatres on March 8, 2024.

The release date is the only element in the film’s update, and the studios have revealed no plot specifics. The makers have yet to determine when and where the story will continue in part four. But fans may expect more in the coming weeks; who knew the voice cast would be revealed?

The return of Jack Black as Po’s voice is highly anticipated, as the actor previously reprised the role in the spinoff shows. More information about Kung Fu Panda 4 is expected to be released in the next weeks, so prepare for the return of your favourite character.

Kung Fu Panda initially premiered in 2008 and has gained a sizable fan base since then. The picture was well appreciated by critics and audiences worldwide. The animated film was also a box office success, generating numerous sequels and spinoffs.

The animated feature also bagged the nod for Academy Award in Best Animated Feature Film category. The film’s widespread acclaim established it as Dreamworks Animation’s most profitable picture, following Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon.

The film’s voice cast starred famous stars from Hollywood, including Jack Black as Po, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, Seth Rogen as Mantis, and Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu.

Considering the first film’s popularity, Kung Fu Panda 2 was released in 2011, followed by Kung Fu Panda 3 in 2016. Kung Fu Panda: Legend of Awesomeness was featured as a Nickelodeon television series. Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny was released as an Amazon Prime Video series. Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight is also available to stream on Netflix.
