INDIA: Maddock Film is coming up with its next digital release, Pooja Meri Jaan, starring Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi. The fresh pair of the two leading ladies evoked curiosity amongst the audience since the film’s announcement.
The digital platform is doing good business through the release of various films and series, making it more convenient for viewers. Since the pandemic, cinephiles have shown more inclination towards the OTT platform as it’s easy and time-saving.
Adding to the elevation of OTT platforms, Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi’s Pooja Meri Jaan land as the upcoming digital release from Jio Studios.
In addition to Mrunal and Huma, the film stars Vijay Raaz and debutant Vikram Singh Chauhan. Recently, the production house collaborated with Jio Studios and announced a direct digital release of Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik’s Pooja Meri Jaan. Previously it was planned for a theatre release. The film is written and directed by Navjot Gulati and Kanishka.
The upcoming Bollywood feature will be an intense drama full of suspense and thrill. It will be released later this year. Some glimpses of the film have shown Mrunal Thakur’s character is shocked and perplexed.
The other one shows Mrunal hugging someone dear to her with a face full of delight. However, reports suggest that the thriller is about a girl named Pooja who is being stalked by an unidentified man.
Previously the announcement video showed a secret admirer of Pooja sending her an email, which says, “Dear Pooja, agar tum haan bol do toh humara pyaar itihaas ban jayega aur agar tumne naa bole toh main itihaas ban jaunga!”
The dialogue reads, “Dear Pooja, if you say yes to me, then our love story will be written in history, or if you say no to me, then I’ll become history.”
Besides Pooja Meri Jaan, Mrunal Thakur will also be seen in Nani’s next film, Nani30. Huma Qureshi was last seen alongside Sonakshi Sinha in the female lead film Double XL. Moreover, Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are also working on other films like Stree 2, Bhediya 2 and Shiddat 2.
