JAPAN. Tokyo: Neeraj Chopra scripted history at Tokyo and became the first-ever Indian athlete to win an individual gold for India. Chopra won India’s lone gold medal at the javelin throw event with a throw of 87.58m, finishing at the top of the table. He became the second Indian ever to win an individual gold after Abhinav Bindra.
