NIA Releases Names of Terrorists/Gangsters, Some with Canada Links

The agency also announced cash award for the information leading to the arrest of five terrorists

INDIA: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released a list of terrorists/gangsters involved in subversive activities in a case registered in August last year. Some of them have links to Canada and support Khalistan propaganda.

The list includes 43 terrorists/gangsters named in FIRs (No RC-38/2022/NIA/DLI and RC-39/2022/NIA/DLI) registered in August last year. Notable names on the list include Goldy Brar, Arshdeep Singh Gill, and Lakhbir Singh Landa, known for supporting pro-Khalistan terrorists. Some of them are based in Canada, while others are in Punjab jail.

The release of this list comes after hostilities between India and Canada escalated when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused the Indian government of involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs denied the allegation.

In another development, the NIA announced cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of five terrorists involved in promoting activities of Babbar Khalsa International in Punjab.

Among them are Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda and Lakhbinder Singh Sandhu alias Landa (cash award of Rs 10 lakh each), Parminder Singh Kaira alias Pattu, Satnam Singh alias Satta, and Yadvinder Singh alias Yadda (cash award of Rs 5 lakh each). All five are accused named in FIR (RC-21/2023.NIA/DLI).

Harwinder Singh is based in Pakistan, with addresses in Nanded Gurudwara (Maharashtra) and Taran Taran (Punjab). Lakhbinder Singh Sandhu alias Landa, Satnam Singh, and Yadwinder Singh are from Taran Taran (Punjab), while Parminder Singh Kaira alias Pattu is from Ferozpur (Punjab).
