INDIA. Karnataka: In a recent development, PM Narendra Modi addressed the people of Karnataka ahead of the Assembly elections in the state. The Supremo wants to establish BJP once again in the state. Thus, he wrote an open letter highlighting his aims to stabilise the state’s growth, upliftment, and development. The leader has already held 19 public meetings and six roadshows in Karnataka focusing on the polls.

The PM wrote, “You have always showered me with love and affection. It feels like a divine blessing to me. In our ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Kaal’, we Indians have aimed to make our beloved country a developed nation. Karnataka is keen to lead the movement to realize its vision. India is the fifth-largest economy. Our next aim is to reach the top three. This is possible only when Karnataka rapidly grows to become a USD 1 trillion economy.” Modi further brought attention to the expenses the ruling party has made for the state during the pandemic. “Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Karnataka received over ₹90,000 crore annually as a foreign investment under the BJP government. It was just around ₹30,000 crore under the previous government,” said Modi.
