‘RRR Sequel’ in the Works: KV Vijayendra Prasad Made a Big Announcement

INDIA: The highly acclaimed film RRR is heading for a sequel, as earlier confirmed by SS Rajamouli at the Oscars platform. The director said they are in the process of writing the script for the sequel.

The superhit movie surpassed all records and set a new record, bagging all the prestigious awards, including the Oscars, and entering the Rs 1000 crore club.

Now, raising the bar of anticipation, the screenwriter of the film, KV Vijayendra Prasad, shared a big update about the sequel. Parshad confirmed that RRR 2 will meet Hollywood standards and added that the film’s Naatu Naatu song was one of the most cherished dancing numbers.

He said, “We are planning to make a sequel to Ram Charan and NTR’s RRR. The movie will be directed by SS Rajamouli or someone else under his supervision.”

Providing additional details regarding the upcoming project, the writer acknowledged that there are strong chances that the movie will be based on a new plot, one that is based on the Telugu states of the pre-Independence era.

The lead actors, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR played the real-life freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem in RRR. The global hit movie will be a big-budget action entertainer.

Talking about Rajamouli’s Mahabharata film, Prashad said that the RRR director’s dream project will commence very soon after he completes the Mahesh Babu starrer SSMB 29. Rajamouli planned the Mahabharata-based film to be released in 10 parts.

Meanwhile, actor Ram Charan embraced parenthood recently as his wife Upasana gave birth to a baby girl. On the work front, he has recently announced his next film, Game Changer with S Shankar.

Besides this, Jr. NTR will appear next in Devara and is set to team up with KGF director Prashanth Neel for a project tentatively called NTR 31.
