Security Forces Stops a Terrorist Attack in J&K: 4 Perpetrators Killed in Sidhra Bypass

INDIA: A major terrorist attack has been cut short by the Indian Security Forces in the Sidhra bypass of Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident transpired after security forces intercepted a suspicious truck which was travelling on the outskirts of Jammu. Terrorists were moving towards Kashmir in a truck full of ammunition and explosives.

Indian Security Forces eliminates 4 terrorist

The perpetrators were planning a major attack. The gunfight occurred in the morning, around 7:30 am, and reportedly, four terrorists were knocked down by the Indian armed forces.

Mukesh Singh, the additional director general of police in Jammu, stated, “There was an odd vehicle movement in the region. The truck was halted by police at the checkpoint. Terrorists were hiding inside the truck and fired at security personnel as they began searching it. All of the terrorists were eliminated by reprisal fire.”

The area near Tawi bridge in the Sidhra bypass of the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was covered with intense fog. Thus the visibility was not much clear. However, the alleged truck carrying the terrorist was stopped by the security forces near Sidhra checkpoint.

The army personnel opened the truck for their routine searching, and at the same time, the traitors opened fire at the soldiers. However, the Bravehearts of India managed to kill four of them, but the truck driver managed to flee. A search operation is going on to trace him.

The entire truck got blasted in the crossfire as it was loaded with incendiary devices. A large number of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the burnt truck.

As per Singh, seven AK rifles, one M4 carbine, three pistols and other miscellaneous ammunition were recovered from the anonymous vehicle. The truck was moving towards Srinagar from Jammu.

As per sources, yesterday, a 15 kg improvised explosive device (IED) was defused by police in the area of Udhampur in Jammu.

As per the officials, a cylindrical shaped IED, 300-400 grams of RDX, seven 7.62 mm cartridges and five detonators were recovered in the Basantgarh area, doubting a major terrorist attack in J&K.
