The shooting of the film had been going on for the last three days, but right-wing activists stirred up strife. According to sources, Shah Rukh Khan was followed by no other major celebrity present at the location.

Police have been deployed at the location to bring control to the situation, but the angry activists continued their protest. The City Superintendent of Police (CSP), Priyanka Shukla, giving information about the whole situation, said, “Shah Rukh Khan’s movie is now being filmed at Bhedaghat with permission from the collector’s office. To put an end to the filming, Bajrang Dal and VHP activists delivered a letter to the Tehsildar.”

According to an activist, Sumit Singh Thakur, “We have protested that because our ‘Saffron’ colour was insulted in the Pathan film, we will not allow such performers and directors to shoot here. The filming at Bhedaghat should be called off immediately.”

“We have also asked the collector to reconsider before allowing the shooting, which offends our Sanatan Dharma. We have read Hanuman Chalisa for land cleaning. Following the shooting, we shall cleanse the ground with Gau-Mutra,” he added.

On the other hand, a member of the Bajrang Dal Sunil said, “Images insulting the Hindu religion have been shown in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathaan. They understood that if they insulted the Hindu religion, a demonstration will be organised against them, and they will receive free movie promotion.”

Furthermore, he stated, “Bajrang Dal has agreed that this movie should not be released in Bhopal.”

As per reports, the activists wanted the central government to ban the ‘Besharam Rang’ song from the movie along with the entire movie. The Shah Rukh starrer movie is about to release next year in January.
