SIIMA 2022: Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde Win Big

INDIA: The awards for Telugu and Kannada films were revealed at the 10th South Indian International Awards (SIIMA) ceremony on Saturday in Bengaluru. The two-day event features four South Asian film industries: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

When they came to the SIIMA 2022 red carpet, Allu Arjun, Kamal Haasan, and Yash looked sharp. Ranveer Singh was also seen on stage accepting an award. Pooja Hegde had a spectacular night, taking home several accolades.

At SIIMA 2022, Haasan stood out in a sporty black and white jacket. Numerous celebrities, including Rhea Chakraborty, Yash, his wife, Allu, Vijay, Ranveer, Pooja, and Yash were present at the occasion.

Pooja won Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in “Most Eligible Bachelor” (Telugu). The award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Telugu) went to Allu Arjun for the second time in a row, this time for the movie Pushpa – The Rise.

Vijay Deverakonda received the Youth Icon South (Male) Award during the occasion, and Pooja received the Youth Icon South (Female) Award. The actor visited SIIMA 2022 shortly after being seen at Bengaluru International Airport, where he received the Most Popular Hindi Actor in South India award.

Posthumously, an award was given to the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar. According to a tweet from SIIMA, one of Kannada cinema’s most valued stars died when the late Puneeth Rajkumar ascension to paradise. His winning the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Kannada) award for the film Yuvarathnaa makes SIIMA feel humbling.

For accepting it on his behalf, we are grateful to the Yuvarathnaa team. Amrutha Iyengar won the Best Actress in a Leading Role – Critics (Kannada) Award for her film Badava Rascal, while Ashika Ranganath won the Best Actress in a Leading Role Popular Category (Kannada) Award for her work on the film Madhagaja.

A few of the other award recipients are actor Pramod who won the Best Actor in a Supporting Part (Kannada) Award for his role in Rathnan Prapancha, as well as Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Award (Telugu) for the movie Krack.

The 9th SIIMA award ceremony took place in Hyderabad the previous year. SIIMA has established its global footprint throughout the years in places like Dubai, Sharjah, Malaysia, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, and Hyderabad.
