INDIA: Virat Kohli, former India captain, is the most followed cricketer on the social media platform Instagram. His massive social media following has seen him make huge monetary gains, and he has reportedly shattered earning records now.

According to Hopper HQ Social, Virat Kohli currently charges 8 crores ($9,79,931.20) per Instagram post, surpassing Priyanka, who charges 3.5 crores ($428719.90).

The Delhi-born cricketer is the only Asian in the top 20 who has a huge fan following around the globe. Kohli is counted among the Top Four leading global stars who earn a lot of money on social media.

Kolhi secured the 14th spot in the list of highest-paid celebrities on the social networking site.

Currently, the 33-year-old has 215 million followers on his Instagram page. According to the report, Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who carries 442 million followers on Instagram, topped the list, followed by Lionel Messi, singer Selena Gomez, actor Dwayne Johnson, and many more. Actor Priyanka stands tall on the list at 27, holding 82.5 million followers.

Cricketer and Virat Kohli’s close aide and former RCB teammate AB de Villiers also made the list, ranking 76th and earning $97,000 per post on the social media platform.

The former Indian cricket captain is India’s second-highest run-scorer in T20 World Cups. He recently returned to form in T20Is and scored his maiden century in the Asia Cup series, and went on to thank his family.

He said, “You see me standing here because one person has put things in perspective for me. That’s Anushka. This hundred is for her and for our little daughter Vamika as well.” The cricketer is famous among the youth population because of his amazing sporting skills and spectacular captaincy.
