INDIA: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, who recently ended his Test century drought during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, took to social media on Thursday to share a picture of his Class 10th mark sheet with a quirky caption.

The 34-year-old, who has been part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for 16 straight seasons, is gearing up for the upcoming IPL 2023 season, where RCB will face Mumbai Indians in their first match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Kohli’s post, which has since been deleted and reshared with a slight change, read, “It’s funny how the things that add the least to your mark sheet add the most to your character.”

This straightforward yet profound phrase conveys the idea that academic achievement does not always equate to character or success in other spheres of life.

Kohli’s Class 10th mark sheet is a negligible factor in his rise to fame as one of the greatest cricketers of all time, and it serves as a reminder that academic achievement is not the only path to success. Kohli’s passion, dedication, and hard work in the sport have helped him achieve greatness and become a role model for millions of aspiring athletes around the world.

The RCB squad, which has 25 players (including eight overseas players), bought several new players during the IPL 2023 auction, including Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, Will Jacks, Manoj Bhandage, Rajan Kumar, and Avinash Singh.

The team also retained several key players, including Faf du Plessis (captain), Virat Kohli, Suyash Prabhudessai, Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat, Finn Allen, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Harshal Patel, David Willey, Karn Sharma, Mahipal Lomror, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, Siddarth Kaul, and Akash Deep.

With millions of viewers coming in to watch their favourite teams and players compete for the trophy, the IPL is one of the most-watched T20 cricket competitions in the world.

RCB has a strong fan base and has been a consistent performer in the league, reaching the playoffs several times but never winning the championship. However, with a strong squad and Kohli’s leadership, the team will be hoping to change their fortunes and bring home the trophy in the upcoming season.

In conclusion, Virat Kohli’s social media post about his Class 10th mark sheet might seem insignificant, but it carries a powerful message about the importance of character, passion, and hard work in achieving success in life.

As RCB prepares for the IPL 2023 season, fans will be eagerly waiting to see if the team can finally break their championship drought and lift the trophy for the first time.
