INDIA: WhatsApp unveiled its disappearing messages function last year. According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform has recently updated the feature. As per the reports, Beta testers can now access this section’s modified vanishing messages.

This feature enables SMS messages to disappear for unregistered users after a predetermined time.

According to the source, the disappearing messages account area has been improved in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.24.9, allowing users to control the duration of the feature. The Google Play Store lets beta testers download and install this update.

The new update adds a new option to set the timer as the default message for both new chats and ongoing conversations.

It will be simpler for you to apply the default message timer to new chats and to set the timer for already active discussions, as mentioned earlier.

It was always possible to choose many ongoing chats and identify them as disappearing threads to prevent misinformation, but WhatsApp is now making it more straightforward to do so.

Users can specify a defined time in the “Default Message Timer,” after which all chat messages will expire. On the other hand, new messages will automatically disappear for particular chats with the “Apply Timer to Chats” option after a predetermined amount of time.

The long-awaited Communities feature for WhatsApp users has now been made available to the general public.

Up to 50 WhatsApp groups can be combined by users to create Communities on the app. With the
help of this function, it will be possible to bring together various groups under one roof, such as communities and parents, at a school and workplaces.

Additionally, WhatsApp is making it simpler to start a chat with your own phone number. You can now open the chat using your personal phone number directly from your contacts list if the capability is enabled for your WhatsApp account. Open your contacts list to see if WhatsApp has already enabled the feature for you.
