INDIA: In an era where the role of youth is central to shaping the future of nations, Yuvak Biradari recently hosted its three-day ‘Jai Jagat Parishad’ in Agra, creating a platform for dialogue, learning, and inspiration. The summit brought together 250 delegates from across India, representing diverse disciplines – law, engineering, management, medical education, and the arts – united by a common purpose: to reimagine a future rooted in human values, sustainability, and global harmony.

A Summit with a Purpose

The Jai Jagat Parishad was not just a conference; it was a confluence of ideas, history, and vision. Sessions explored critical themes such as environmental protection, building a self-reliant society, commemorating 75 years of the Indian Constitution, and rethinking centre-state relations for inclusive governance. Presentations, research papers, and discussions revolved around the core belief that the youth of India carry within them the potential to lead change – from local communities to the global stage.

Honouring the Past, Shaping the Future

One of the summit’s key highlights was the release of ‘Majhi Biradari’, a memoir by Padma Shri Kranti Shah, founder of Yuvak Biradari, and published by Granthali Publishing House. Sharing personal memories and the organization’s five-decade journey, Shah remarked, “Youth is the backbone of the country. The Biradari’s movement has touched lakhs of lives, nurturing the spirit of service, unity, and progress.”

Senior journalist and former MP Kumar Ketkar reflected on the historic significance of the slogan ‘Jai Jagat’, introduced by Vinoba Bhave in 1949. He noted how the phrase symbolized global welfare and inspired movements such as land donation drives, embedding the ethos of shared responsibility and peace.

Former Bombay High Court Justice Sadhana Jadhav praised Yuvak Biradari for its long-standing commitment to guiding young minds, emphasizing its role in promoting national integration and Indian cultural values.

Beyond Dialogue: A Cultural Celebration

The summit concluded with a mesmerizing cultural evening titled ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’, featuring renowned Kathak dancers Gauri and Tarini Tripathi, vocalist Atul Sundarkar, and the Ek Sur Ek Taal Team. The performance celebrated India’s cultural richness and its message of unity in diversity.

A Gathering of Thought Leaders

From eminent professors of Mumbai University, Delhi University, Maharashtra National Law University, and D.Y. Patil School of Law, to legal experts, IT specialists, journalists, and history scholars – the summit served as a melting pot of expertise. Former Uttarakhand High Court Justice Rajesh Tandon and several distinguished academicians shared insights with the young delegates.

Yuvak Biradari’s President Abhishek Bachchan joined virtually, sending his wishes and reinforcing the importance of youth-led change for a self-reliant and inclusive India.

Behind the success of this grand event was a dedicated team – Project Directors Vedant Jayant, Dr. Ravi Gavit, and Sachin Vakulkar, supported by Coordinator Hrishikesh Gokhale and committee members Ruchi Singh, Mumal Joshi, and Pratham Shah – who worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail reflected the spirit of the Jai Jagat Parishad.
