UNITED STATES: Speculation is swirling around the highly anticipated launch of the Apple iPhone 15 series, as reports suggest a potential delay in the release.

Traditionally, Apple unveils its latest iPhone models in September, but recent channel checks with Apple’s supply chain have sparked rumors that the launch event could be pushed to the fourth quarter of 2023.

While the Cupertino tech giant usually remains tight-lipped about such rumors, multiple reports on Thursday quoted an industry analyst who claims the iPhone 15 series debut may be postponed by a month.

As per the analyst’s consultations with Apple’s supply chain, the new iPhones might see the light of day in October instead of the customary September date.

The exact reasons behind the speculated delay have not been explicitly disclosed in the reports. Earlier media sources had indicated that the iPhone launch was on track, leading to further confusion among industry watchers. Additionally, some insiders suggest that Apple might hold a separate event in October to unveil its updated Mac lineup.

Apple enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting official word from the company to confirm or refute the delay rumors. Despite the attempt to keep a lid on such speculations, supply chain leaks and industry insiders make it challenging for Apple to avoid such buzz.

If the delay turns out to be true, the iPhone 15 series will be available for purchase just a few months after the projected launch date. Consumers can expect the familiar trio of models, including the standard iPhone 15, the larger iPhone 15 Plus, and the high-end iPhone 15 Pro.

One area of excitement surrounds the potential introduction of new color options for this year’s iPhones, which has piqued the interest of Apple fans worldwide.

Moreover, industry insiders have hinted at the possibility of Apple transitioning to USB-C for its iPhones to comply with the forthcoming EU regulations on standard chargers.

Camera enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that improvements are expected in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, not only in terms of megapixels but also in sensor performance.

However, reports of a periscope lens being introduced in the iPhone 16 range in 2024 seem to have raised eyebrows, given its exclusion from this year’s models.

While the alleged delay has led to speculation about the reasons behind it, Apple loyalists are anticipating the company’s official announcement to put all doubts to rest. Until then, enthusiasts must stay patient and wait for Apple’s next move.
