Arsenal’s home game against West Ham United ended in a 1-1 draw, with newcomers Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber making their debuts. Arsenal took the lead in the 26th minute, but West Ham United took control with a goal from Bukayo Saka. The game was delayed due to ticketing system issues.

The Premier League welcomed Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who described the nervous finish as “very dominant” and “deserved to win the game.” However, Arsenal struggled to win by the smallest margin possible, despite having chances to end the game.

Luton’s return to the top flight after 31 years was a modern-day fairytale, but Brighton faced a challenging match. Brighton led at the interval with Solly March and a new signing, Joao Pedro, who converted a penalty.

Luton scored Carlton Morris from the penalty spot, while Fulham scored with Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s tap-in at the back post. Everton’s Michael Keane scored in controversial circumstances, but the goal was ruled off due to a perceived foul by James Tarkowski on Bernd Leno. The match was between Luton and Everton, with both teams dominating.
