UNITED STATES: Avatar: The Way of Water’s release date is approaching, and prior to the sequel’s debut, Avatar 2009 will be re-released in theatres. The epic sci-fi film will be released worldwide on September 23, 2022.

With the re-release of Avatar, you can experience the magic of Pandora once again. James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water is set to debut in theatres on December 16, 2022. The re-release of the film prior to the debut of the sequel provides an excellent opportunity for those who have never seen the first film in theatres. Those who have seen the first instalment will be able to revisit the visually stunning epic in 4K HDR.

Avatar will release globally in theatres for a limited time. 20th Century Studios revealed the new trailer of the first film on Twitter. The tweet read, “On September 23 #Avatar returns to the big screen for a limited time only. Watch the new trailer now.”

James Cameron also shared a new poster for Avatar 2009 on Twitter. The filmmaker wrote, “We remastered the movie and decided it deserved a new poster….”

Following the release of Avatar 2009, the most anticipated film, Avatar: The Way of Water, starring Sam Worthington as Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, will debut in theatres. Both actors will reprise their roles from the first film. Sigourney Weaver will also return to play a different role than her prior role. The Hollywood actor will star as Kiri, Jake, and Neytiri’s adoptive daughter in the film.

Stephen Lang is also set to join the film’s ensemble cast. The teaser might have also showcased a glimpse of his character. Earlier, the studio also announced the arrival of Kate Winslet as Ronal in the epic sci-fi feature. Cliff Curtis, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Michelle Yeoh will also star in the pivotal roles.

Avatar: The Way of Water marked the return of James Cameron’s epic sci-fi film after a 13-year. The amount of time required for filmmaking, combined with the involvement of technological advancements in the film, heightens audience anticipation.
