INDIA: Following Drishyam 2, Ajay Devgn starrer Bholaa lands as the next film set to unveil on big screens. The actioner movie finally bagged the official teaser and a brand-new poster.
Ajay Devgn’s directorial Bholaa, is an official remake of Tamil maverick director, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2019 film Kaithi. The original film starred Karthi as the lead and set the stage for the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, also known as Loki Universe.
However, Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa will take a different route from the Loki universe. In addition to Ajay, the film also stars Tabu and Amala Paul in the lead.
Bholaa teaser gives a clear glimpse of Ajay Devgn’s directorial vision
Ajay Devgn created hype among viewers for the teaser release by sharing a title glimpse of Bholaa on Twitter. The Bollywood star wrote, “KAUN HAI WOH? An unstoppable force is coming! #BholaaTeaserOutTomorrow #BholaaIn3D #Tabu @ADFFilms”
Now the wait is over! The talented actor and filmmaker shared the teaser on social media platforms. The video opens with a shot of an orphanage that introduces us to a little girl, Jyoti. The whole scene is elevated by the emotional touch of the background score.
Following the opening scene, the teaser fades to the dark, showcasing a prison. The camera movement accelerates with Ravi Basrur’s robust music running in the background. The jail scene introduces us to an unknown man reading the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
The fellow prisoners discuss the unknown man. One prisoner asks, “Who is he?” To which the other prisoner answers, “No one knows who he is or where he came from, and the one who did know isn’t alive to tell.” The dialogue foreshadows the powerful aura of the unknown man.
Slowly building the character introduction, the teaser fastens with the film’s logo, “BHOLAA.” The logo gains the spotlight with a trident slashing in the center. The title reveal gives us a clear idea that the unknown man is Bholaa, played by Ajay Devgn.
However, the teaser doesn’t stop at the title intro; at the end, it piques our curiosity with Ajay performing an enthralling bike stunt. Where we see the actor riding a motorcycle directly toward an SUV while holding a trident.
As both vehicles collide, Devgn, with the weapon, catapults onto the car in an extremely stylish manner. The entire scene is powered by the hinging beats of high-on-life music plus the explosion of vehicles.
Given the entire stunt scene, it appears that Bholaa will take a different route in terms of action sequences. Plus, the film is also arriving in 3D, and from the teaser scene, we have an idea why it is coming in the mentioned format.
The Bollywood remake gives off a unique vibe in the teaser, providing an over-the-top action sequence that seems to be enthralling and electrifying at the same time. But given the high bar set by Lokesh Kanagaraj in Kaithi, Ajay’s film has to elevate to higher levels, which will only unfold with its release on March 30, 2023.
