INDIA: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is set to make another global appearance at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in 2022 after previously representing India at Cannes 2022.
A source says that the actress is expected to fly to Qatar soon to be part of the most-watched sporting event in football history, where she will also unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy in front of a crowded stadium.
At the Lusail Iconic Stadium, the 2022 FIFA World Cup final will be played on December 18.
Last week, Nora Fatehi performed at the FIFA Fan Fest in Qatar. In a sparkly garment, Fatehi lit up the stage as she danced to the World Cup song “Light the Sky.” Additionally, she danced to songs like “O Saki Saki.”
After Nora Fatehi’s performance, many viewers praised her dance on social media and gave it high praise.
In the meantime, on the movie front, Deepika will be seen onscreen alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in the next movie, “Pathaan,” which will be released on January 25, 2023.
Apart from “Pathaan,” Deepika Padukone will appear in “Project K,” starring Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. She also makes a special appearance in the movie “Cirkus,” which stars her husband, Ranveer Singh.
