INDIA: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) recently announced the successful completion of a controlled re-entry of the decommissioned satellite Megha-Tropiques. 

Launched in 2011, the satellite has been used to study the water cycle and energy exchanges in the tropical regions of the Earth.

After the satellite finished its job in 2019, it was taken out of service and put in a low Earth orbit until it was time for it to come back down to Earth.

The re-entry was planned for February 25, 2022, to ensure that the satellite did not pose any threat to other space assets or to people on the ground.

The controlled re-entry resulted in the complete burning up of all the debris of the satellite during the atmospheric re-entry, making the end of the mission safe and successful.
