UNITED STATES: The superhero of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” Jason David Frank, who is popularly known as the original Green Ranger, died at the age of 49. As per sources, the 90s hero committed suicide in Texas.
The reason behind such a drastic step is still unknown; however, the news of his demise was confirmed by one representative of Frank’s family, who stated, “Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being.”
The representative, putting an additional effort into his words, said, “He will be truly missed and he loved his family, friends, and fans very much.”
Jason David Frank ruled the television industry through his characters in Tommy Oliver’s “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” franchise; the three-season run was available on Fox Kids from 1993 to 1996.
His sudden demise put the world into a state of shock, especially for his fans, who lived and grew through watching his series.
Frank’s co-star in MMPR, Walter Jones, expressed his grief and said, “He was an inspiration to so many people.” His presence will be dearly missed. “It’s so sad to lose another member of our Ranger family.”
The Ranger family lost one precious stone, and Jones, remembering their good old days, stated, “Jason was one of the biggest pranksters on the show.” He had a wild sense of humour. We had our share of ups and downs, but I stayed consistent about being an ear if he needed one. “My prayers go out to his family and all that will miss him.”
Professional wrestler Iron Sheik wrote on his social media handle, “RIP JDF YOU THE REAL LEGEND BUBBA I LOVE YOU FOREVER #RIPLEGEND.”
Frank is survived by his four children and his wife, Tammie Frank, to whom he’d been married since 2003.
The actor was going through a tough time in his marriage because earlier this year, Frank’s wife blamed him for cheating on her and filed for divorce. Earlier, Jason was married to Shawna Frank from 1994 to 2001.
