UNITED STATES: Microsoft has announced a new feature for its Bing search engine called the Bing Image Creator, which allows users to generate images by simply writing a description of the image they want to see.

This feature is run by an updated version of OpenAI’s DALL-E model, which can turn textual descriptions into high-quality images.

This new tool aims to provide a more immersive search experience for users, allowing them to create visual content in addition to text-based search results.

This feature will be available to Bing preview users in the chatbot prompt or through Microsoft Edge, and users who are not in the Bing preview can access it separately at bing.com/create. Microsoft has made it clear that it is taking steps to stop this feature from being abused. The company has incorporated OpenAI’s safeguards and put additional protections in place, including controls that aim to limit the generation of harmful or unsafe images.

If a prompt could lead to an image that could be harmful, the system will block the prompt and let the user know.

In addition to the Bing Image Creator, Microsoft is also making its Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0 features available to all users of Bing.

The Bing Image Creator and the Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0 features are part of Microsoft’s efforts to improve the search experience for users.

Microsoft wants more people to use its platform and stay there by making search results more interactive and immersive.

Microsoft’s decision to partner with OpenAI to power the Bing Image Creator highlights the increasing importance of AI in the tech industry.

As AI technology keeps getting better, more innovative features and tools will likely be made that use AI to make the user experience better.

In conclusion, the Bing Image Creator is an exciting new feature that has the potential to revolutionize the search experience for users.

By enabling users to generate images from textual descriptions, Microsoft is providing a more immersive and interactive search experience that could drive greater user engagement and retention.

With the addition of Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0, Microsoft is giving users an even better search experience and positioning itself as a leader in the market for search engines.
