Mukesh Ambani got two emails on October 27 demanding Rs 200 crore from the RIL managing director.

“Now it is increased 400 crore rupees, police can’t track me, they can’t arrest me, that’s why we have no problem killing you, no matter how good your current security is, only one of our snipers can kill you,” reads the recent threat email.

In the email that Ambani got on October 27, the sender made a demand for Rs 200 crore due to Ambani’s non-response to an earlier email in which the sender had asked for Rs 20 crore.

Following a complaint lodged by Mukesh Ambani’s security in-charge, Devendra Munsiram, the Gamdevi police initiated a First Information Report (FIR) for charges of extortion and criminal intimidation against the owner of the email.

The police have noted that, at first glance, it seems the email ID was established solely for the purpose of issuing these threats.

In October of last year, Bihar Police detained an individual from Darbhanga, Bihar, for making threats to kill Ambani and his family members.
