INDIA: Noida is in the news again, this time for no good reason, after a disgruntled employee shot his ex-manager in the chest.

Six months after being fired from his job, a former employee of the Noida-based BPO allegedly opened fire on his manager and injured him in the chest.

According to news reports, the injured manager is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Noida.

The injured man has been identified as Shardul Islam. Islam is said to be the circle head of NSB BPO under Noida’s Phase-1 police station jurisdiction.

According to news reports, the suspect shot the victim in the right shoulder. The incident was reported on Wednesday evening by the victim.

According to Sushil Kumar Ganga Prasad, the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) -2, Noida zone, the suspect, Anoop Singh, a resident of east Delhi who is currently on the run, was fired from his job for bad behaviour.

According to the media reports, Anoop Sigh reportedly dropped in at the office even though he no longer worked there. “Prima facie, the incident is believed to be of rivalry and vengeance,” the report stated.

Anoop Singh was enraged at Shardul Islam for treating him poorly in front of others.

Meanwhile, according to officials, the search and rescue operation for a leopard spotted by residents earlier this week continued for the third consecutive day at a housing society in the West sector of Greater Noida, also known as the Noida extension.

Since they were made aware of the big cat’s movements in the locality and suspected its presence in an under-construction residential tower on their property, society members have restricted their outdoor activities.

In Sector 16 of Greater Noida (West), teams from the forest department from Gautam Buddh Nagar are stationed at the Ajnara Le Garden society.

A senior official stated that additional specialists from Agra, Ghaziabad, and Meerut have also been recruited.
