INDIA: In a significant stride towards financial inclusivity and embracing the digital revolution, Nokia, the renowned mobile phone manufacturer, has unveiled its latest feature phones, the Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 110 2G, in the Indian market. 

The standout feature of these devices is the integration of the ‘UPI Scan and Pay’ facility, enabling feature phone users to make seamless UPI payments with just a press of a button.

HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia, announced the launch on Tuesday in an effort to close the gap between feature phone users and the developing digital payments ecosystem. With this innovative inclusion, Nokia seeks to empower millions of feature phone users by providing them with a secure and convenient platform to engage in digital transactions.

Mr. Ravi Kunwar, the Vice President at HMD Global, expressed his enthusiasm about the groundbreaking offering, stating, “We are happy to empower feature phone users by providing them with the ability to conduct safe and practical digital transactions by integrating Scan & Pay UPI technology into our feature phones. We want to make sure that users may easily accept modern digital payments’ ease and adapt to the changing times. With the Nokia 110 2023, we’re redefining what a feature phone is capable of, so get ready to enjoy a new level of empowerment and ease.”

In addition to the revolutionary payment capabilities, the Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 110 2G come equipped with a plethora of features that cater to the diverse needs of consumers.

These compact devices boast a built-in rear camera, an SD card slot, a music player, and an auto call recorder with increased storage capacity, enhancing the overall user experience.

The Nokia 110 4G has a 1,450 mAh battery, while the Nokia 110 2G has a 1,000 mAh battery, ensuring extended usage without frequent recharges.

Furthermore, both phones offer expandable storage of up to 32GB, allowing users to store more memories and entertainment on their devices.
