SPAIN: Carlos López’s Santo finally arrived on Netflix. The crime-thriller series has opened to high praise since the trailer’s debut. Following the various posters, announcement clips, and a full-fledged teaser release, the action-thriller show debuted on the streaming giant.

The brand-new series debuted on a large scale with a talented star cast. The engaging background score featured in the promos suggests a gripping story focusing on a chase between cops and a drug dealer.

The Raúl Arévalo and Bruno Gagliasso-starrer Santo debuted on Netflix

Vicente Amorim directed Santo, while Carlos López created the Spanish-Brazilian series. The latest action-thriller series stars Raúl Arévalo as Miguel Millán and Bruno Gagliasso as Ernesto Cardona in the lead roles. Victória Guerra as Bárbara Azevedo, Greta Fernández as Susana “Susi” Jackson, and María Vázquez as Arantxa Rivera joined the ensemble cast. Nostromo Pictures and Prodigo Films bankrolled the crime-thriller show for Netflix.

The latest Netflix series centres on Santo, the most-wanted international drug dealer whose identity remains a big mystery to the public. Leaving terror in the wake of his victim, he wreaks havoc with his enigmatic persona. Two cops embark on the hunt in order to put an end to the vicious drug dealer.

Santo debuted with a global release on Netflix. The actioner series is available to stream on the OTT platform from today (September 16, 2022). The six-episode thriller series emerges as the first show shot between Spain and Brazil.

The trailer also provided a short glimpse of the story set to unfold in the series. The official clip featured the leading stars engaging in a gripping chase for the drug dealer. The upcoming show makes an entry on the global level, bringing the intriguing recipe of a crime-thriller which was evident from the trailer.

A few months ago, the makers also dropped a poster that served as the hype factor for the upcoming series among viewers. The poster starred the lead star in an intense look, which also blended with the theme of the show.
