AFGHANISTAN: In an unusual incident, the Kaaj education centre in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul witnessed a heartwrenching suicidal bombardment attack.

At least 100 students lost their lives in the mishap. As per reports, students, mostly Hazaras and Shias, were targeted during the incident. The Hazaras are the third largest ethnic group in Afghanistan.

Bringing the unfortunate incident to the world’s attention, a journalist, Bilal Sarwary, took to his Twitter and wrote, “We have so far counted 100 dead bodies of our students. The number of students killed is much higher. The classroom was packed. This was a mock university entrance exam, so students could prepare for the real one.”

This is very horrific as detached hands, legs, and other parts of the body have been recovered from the location.

Meanwhile, Karen Decker, charge d’affaires at the US mission to Afghanistan, took to Twitter and wrote , “The U.S. strongly condemns today’s attack on the Kaaj Higher Educational Center. “Targeting a room full of students taking exams is shameful; all students should be able to pursue an education in peace and without fear.”

A local police spokesman, Khalid Zadran, said, “Students were preparing for an exam when a suicide bomber struck at this educational centre.” Most insanely, “Security teams have reached the site. The nature of the attack and the details of the casualties will be released later.” “Attacking civilian targets proves the enemy’s inhuman cruelty and lack of moral standards.”

Videos surfaced online and photos published by local media showed bloodied victims being carried away from the scene.
