Fans and cricketing experts had anticipated this a long time back, thanks to Yadav’s calibre and recent form. In the current men’s T20 World Cup, he is consistently scoring runs.

So far, he has scored two half-centuries in his first four T20 World Cup 2022 appearances. Recently, he played a fantastic inning against South Africa, where he scored 68 runs in just 40 balls.

Yesterday, against Bangladesh, he scored a quick-fire 30 of 16 balls. Yadav was playing very well,, and it seemed that he would score yet another half-century. However, he got out while playing a cut shot to a delivery which was too full to cut.

NZ cricketer Glenn Phillips and SA cricketer Rilee Rossouw are among the top ten batters in the T20I ranking.

Rossouw moved to seventh position after his century against Bangladesh, while Phillips, after his century against Sri Lanka, took the eighth spot.
