INDIA: Jaydev Unadkat shared a picture of his Indian jersey on Twitter as he recently made a comeback in the Indian Team after 12 long years.

He shared two side-by-side pictures showing his debut Indian test jersey and the recent test jersey.

The picture showed that he had to struggle for 12 years to make a comeback in the squad again.

The first jersey dates back to 2010 when Unadkat made his debut against South Africa. The t-shirt he shared contained all the autographs of players in that series including MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar. Additionally, Garry Kirsten and Eric Simon’s signs can also be seen in the image.

The second t-shirt contained all the autographs of the current Indian cricket team players.

The post is very inspirational for youngsters or players who are struggling to get a place in the team. Unadkat’s teammates also commented on his post, showing various emotions.

Jaydev Unadkat, who was playing in his first Test for India in 12 years, took three wickets.

Unadkat’s comeback test match performance was decent, though it did not rank among the most remarkable in Indian cricket history.

Unadkat had to wait more than a decade to play his first game after making his Test debut back in 2010.

After years of paying his dividends on the domestic circuit by dishing out great season after season, Unadkat finally had his moment when he was selected for the Test squad and then given a game in the series-deciding match.

“When I made my debut, I was still rather young. I have never felt like a veteran in all my domestic years. At my prime, I’m still 31 years old. The apex of my career would be these four to five years; therefore, I want to keep going as much as I can”, Unadkat was quoted as saying.
