UNITED STATES: Amazon Prime Video has released a new teaser for the highly anticipated The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The official video shows a brief peek of all of the epic fantasy series’ iconic characters. Based on the events before JRR Tolkien’s magnum opus, The Lord of the Rings, the series is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022.

Rather than publishing all of the episodes at once, Amazon will distribute The Rings of Power in more than 240 countries in weekly parts. The series’ production budget likely exceeds $1 billion, with the first season alone costing a stunning $462 million, making it one of the costliest shows ever filmed.
