The Last of Us trailer showcases Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie navigating the apocalyptic world brimming with an unknown virus outbreak, which turns dead bodies into a living nightmare. Besides the zombie horde and fast-paced camera shots, we also hear a soothing song titled, ‘’Alone and Forsaken’’ by Hank Williams.

The music blends perfectly with the trailer as it showcases all the lead characters. The video’s conclusion provides a quick glimpse of Clickers (the third stage of the infected ones), which are the most deadly and menacing phase of zombies. The highly terrifying aspect of the creatures is their cacophonic sound, and the clip accurately depicts the similarity to the game.

The trailer’s response opened to positive comments from viewers, with many praising the game-accurate depiction of Clickers. One fan added, ‘’Wow, this is done so well that it gave me excitement for the series.’’ ‘’I love how emotionally distant Joel and Ellie look in here, it’s a nice touch, as I’d like to see how they grow closer in the actual show, ‘’ added the other viewer.

In addition to Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, HBO’s The Last of Us also stars Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, and Anna Trov as Tess. Recently, Lamar Johnson as Henry and Keivonn Woodard as Sam were also confirmed to join the team. Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann developed the series along with penning the story.
