Vivo S16 Series Finally Out: Triple Camera Smartphone Arrives in Tech Market

While the S16e has its unique set of features, the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro have comparable spec sheets

CHINA: The Vivo S16 series was introduced by Vivo on Thursday in China. Three phones make up the series, which are all classified as mid-range. Vivo S16, Vivo S16 Pro, and Vivo S16e are among the phones.

The phones come with a mix of Snapdragon, Dimensity, and Exynos chips and boot the most recent version of Android (version 13) out of the box.

Vivo S16 series specifications 

While the S16e has its unique set of features, the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro have comparable spec sheets. 

However, all phones feature a similar style and come with a ring-shaped flagship cameras, which can be useful for people who produce brief films or content in general.

A 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is available on the S16 and S16 Pro. The S16e receives a 6.62-inch flat screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Triple cameras are included on the back of the trio, which has an FHD+ resolution.

A 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor are all featured on the S16. A 50MP primary lens with OIS capability, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor are all included with the S16 Pro.

On the other side, the S16e features a lesser configuration with a 50MP primary lens and two sensors for depth and macro photography.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, powers the S16. The Exynos 1080 chipset is found in the S16e, while the Dimensity 8200 SoC powers the S16 Pro.

A 4,600mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging is included in the trio. The series launches with the OriginOS Forest skin on top of the Android 13 OS out of the box.

Vivo S16 series pricing and more

The starting price for the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro is CNY 2,499 (about Rs 29,600). (roughly Rs 39,100). The S16e has a lower starting price of CNY 2,099 than its competitors (roughly Rs 24,900).

The series is available in the colours Sea Foam Green, Hyacinth Purple, and Starry Night Black.

It’s possible that the series will debut under a different name in India or other international markets.
