Acer Unveils 13th Gen Intel-powered, Predator Series Laptops at CES 2023

Acer also showcased its brand-new Swift Go Ultrabook series

UNITED STATES: Acer unveiled several new products, including the brand-new Predator gaming laptops and 13th Gen Intel-powered laptops at the ongoing CES 2023. In addition, Acer also displayed the Swift Go, a lightweight and thin laptop with an OLED screen and the brand’s most recent Chromebook product.

The upcoming high-end gaming laptops will use the RTX 40 series of GPUs, while 13th Generation Intel Core processors will power some of these laptops.

Acer’s most recent high-performance gaming laptops are the Predator Helios 16 (PH16-71) and Predator Helios 18 (PH18-71). Both of these laptops have up to an RTX 4080 mobile GPU and an Intel Core CPU of the 13th Generation. Acer armed these laptops with up to 2TB of PCIe Gen4-based storage and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM.

The mini-LED displays on both laptops have a 165Hz or 240Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 16:10. These laptops use vector heat pipes and 5th Generation AeroBlade 3D metal fans for cooling. Additionally, they include a keyboard with 1.8 mm key travel and mini-LED lighting.

The Predator X45 and Predator X27U monitors include OLED panels with UWQHD (3440 x 1440) and WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolutions, respectively. Along with TÜV Rheinland EyeSafe certification and a peak brightness of 1000 nits, both monitors provide 98.5% DCI-P3 coverage.

The Predator Helios 16’s base model (PH16-71) costs $1,649.99 (Rs. 1,36,698). The Predator Helios 18 (PH18-71) similarly costs $1,699 (Rs. 1,40,759).

The Predator X45 is priced at $1,699 (Rs. 1,36,698), while the Predator X27U will cost $1,099 (Rs. 91,050).

The Acer Swift Go is a brand-new Ultrabook that is both thin and light. It is available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. 

A 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification are two of the models’ OLED screens. 

The Acer Swift Go 14 has a 2.8K OLED screen that refreshes at 90Hz, whereas the Swift Go 16 has a 3.2K OLED screen that refreshes at 120Hz. The 13th generation Intel core processors with Evo certification power both laptops.
