Audi Focused on Works Partnership with Sauber, Not Actively Seeking Customer Team

0

GERMANY: The Audi F1 team has stated that they are not actively seeking a customer team as their entry as a power unit supplier draws closer. Audi will debut in Formula 1 in 2026, not only as a team but also as a power unit supplier.

The German brand is one of six suppliers registered for the 2026 season under new regulations and has begun building its factory at its site in Neuburg, Germany. As the 2026 season is still almost three years away, an increasing number of teams have started scoping out potential suppliers.

McLaren has been the most visible, with Zak Brown travelling to Red Bull to discuss a potential partnership. However, the German automotive company is focused solely on their working partnership with Sauber and cannot rule out supplying a customer team if required by regulations.

Audi Formula Racing GmbH CEO Adam Baker told the media that the company isn’t ruling out supplying engines to a customer team as they might be required to do so by the regulations.

With six companies registering as power unit suppliers for 2026, the chances of Audi having to supply engines are small.

Since Audi is not actively seeking a customer, they are focusing on their working partnership with Sauber.

The German automotive company has been working hard since announcing their arrival in F1 before the Belgian Grand Prix last August to ensure they are ready for their 2026 start date.

Baker explained that Audi’s ramp-up activities are still ongoing. And simultaneously, the company is developing the power unit and working on the 2026 car concept with Sauber.

He adds that the company has been running the single-cylinder engine since late last year and that the first full-size engine will run for the first time later in 2023.

The company’s focus on their working partnership with Sauber shows their dedication to entering the sport as a fully-fledged team rather than just a supplier.

The sole focus on development is a positive sign for their fans and the sport, as it indicates that Audi is committed to making an impact in Formula 1.

When Audi joins Formula 1 in 2026, fans will be excited to see how good they are at engineering and how they change the way motorsports are done.

Ram Navami: A Celebration of the Divine Prince’s Birth and Legacy

INDIA: Millions of Hindus worldwide are preparing to celebrate Ram Navami, one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar.

This festival commemorates the birth of Lord Rama, one of the most revered deities in Hindu mythology.

https://twitter.com/kankodaa/status/1637114334949023746

The festival falls on Chaitra month’s ninth day. It is the first month of the Hindu calendar. Hindus celebrate Ram Navami with great enthusiasm and devotion across India and other parts of the world.

Devotees observe fasts, offer prayers, and participate in various cultural and religious events to mark this auspicious occasion.

Lord Rama is the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, one of the three principal deities in Hinduism

He was born in Ayodhya, a city in northern India, more than 7,000 years ago.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama embodies righteousness, truth, and compassion.

Hindus consider him an ideal son, husband, brother, and king, and his life inspires millions of Hindus.

https://twitter.com/paradkar_dipali/status/1640904328876802048

The epic Ramayana, one of the most revered texts in Hindu culture, depicts the story of Lord Rama.

According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama was the eldest son of King Dasharatha and his wife, Queen Kausalya.

He was born to the couple after many years of prayer and devotion. The devotees believe the birth of Lord Rama happened at noon, and it is customary for them to perform puja at this time.

Hindus celebrate the festival of Ram Navami in different ways across India. In some regions, devotees decorate their homes with flowers and light diyas (oil lamps) to mark the occasion.

In others, they take out processions, and people sing bhajans (devotional songs) praising Lord Rama.

https://twitter.com/KcJwells1/status/1638395395632971776

In many places, the devotees set up elaborate tableaus depicting scenes from the Ramayana.

Devotees also observe fasts on this day to seek blessings from Lord Rama. They refrain from eating anything during the day and only break their fast in the evening after performing puja.

Many devotees also offer food, clothes, and other items to the poor and needy as a mark of their devotion and gratitude.

The significance of Ram Navami goes beyond the celebration of Lord Rama’s birth. It is also a reminder of the virtues that he embodied and the values that he stood for.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama was an ideal king who ruled his kingdom with wisdom, justice, and compassion.

His life is a testament to the importance of upholding dharma (righteousness) and fulfilling one’s duty towards society.

Ram Navami is also a time for introspection and spiritual reflection. Devotees use this occasion to reflect on their lives and the values that they want to live by.

They seek inspiration from Lord Rama’s life and teachings and strive to emulate his virtues.

In recent times, the festival of Ram Navami has also become a symbol of Hindu unity and identity.

People of all castes, creeds, and regions celebrate Ram Navami, bringing together communities in harmony and brotherhood.

Many organisations and groups also organise social and cultural events on this day to promote the values of unity, peace, and harmony.

Ferrari Could Surprise in Melbourne as Formula 1 Returns to Australia

0

AUSTRALIA: As Formula 1 returns to Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix, F1 pundit Tom Clarkson expects Ferrari to make a surprise comeback.

Despite a disappointing start to the season with Charles Leclerc retiring from P3 in Bahrain and finishing P6 and P7 in Saudi Arabia, Clarkson believes the Italian team has always performed well in Melbourne, winning a record 13 times.

Ferrari historically has enjoyed a good setup in Melbourne, and Leclerc was dominant there last year.

The car is an evolution of the one they used last year, and although they may not have the pace of Red Bull, Clarkson expects Ferrari to take a big step forward. He reminds us that Leclerc qualified second in Saudi Arabia, just a tenth and a half behind pole-sitter Sergio Perez.

Leclerc received a 10-place penalty for using new power unit components, which ruined his race.

Despite Clarkson predicting a Max Verstappen win, with Leclerc in second and Fernando Alonso in third, the return to Melbourne may be the opportunity for Ferrari to turn their fortunes around.

The Australian Grand Prix has always been a happy hunting ground for the Scuderia, and with a solid setup and a previous win under their belt, they may surprise their fans and their rivals.

As the competition heats up, with Verstappen leading the World Championship by just one point and Perez eager to snatch the championship lead, the race in Melbourne promises to be exciting.

However, all eyes will be on Ferrari as they strive to prove their critics wrong and show that they are still a force to be reckoned with in Formula 1.

The Australian Grand Prix will be held at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne on Sunday, March 28.

Time Traveller’s Dilemma: The Grandfather Paradox and its Mind-Bending Consequences

0

INDIA: The Grandfather Paradox has puzzled physicists and philosophers for decades and has led some to think that time travel is impossible or at least inconsistent. The Grandfather Paradox arises from the idea that if time travel were possible, one could go back in time and interact with past events, thus altering them and creating a new timeline.

However, if one changed a critical event that led to one’s own birth or existence, then one would create a paradox since one’s past self would not exist to travel back in time in the first place.

Scientists can formulate the paradox in different ways. However, a commonly known version goes like this: Suppose you travel back in time to a point before your grandfather met your grandmother, and you prevent their encounter by, say, distracting your grandfather or warning your grandmother about his intentions.

Then, if your grandparents don’t meet, they won’t have your parents, who won’t have you, because you won’t travel back in time to prevent their meeting.

The paradox is illogical because the cause (your time travel) would get rid of the effect (your existence), which would get rid of the original cause.

Some solutions to the paradox have been proposed, such as the multiple universes theory, which states that each time travel creates a new parallel universe where the changed events occur, but the original timeline remains intact.

But this theory brings up other questions, like whether or not it’s right to mess with other universes, what it means to be the same person in different universes, and what will happen to the original timeline.

Another solution is the Novikov self-consistency principle, which states that any action or event consistent with the past is consistent with the future and vice versa.

In other words, if you travel back in time and try to change the past, you will fail or succeed in a way that doesn’t contradict the past or the future.

For example, you may inadvertently cause the event you were trying to prevent, or you may find out that you were the one who caused it all along.

This idea is named after the Russian physicist Igor Novikov, who came up with it in the 1980s based on the laws of general relativity and quantum mechanics.

However, the Novikov principle doesn’t explain how consistency is maintained, nor the free will of the time traveller or the people involved.

It also assumes that there is a unique and deterministic past that the time traveller cannot change, which some philosophers dispute.

Moreover, the principle doesn’t rule out the possibility of paradoxes arising from other time travel scenarios, such as bootstrap paradoxes, where an object or piece of information appears to have no origin or cause.

The Grandfather Paradox remains a fascinating and unresolved issue in physics and philosophy and continues to inspire science fiction stories and movies.

While time travel may still be a dream or a nightmare, the Grandfather paradox reminds us that the past is not just a fixed and static recording, but a dynamic and complex web of causes and effects that shape our present and future.

As the famous physicist John Wheeler once said, “Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.”

But what if time could be conquered or circumvented? Would we still be ourselves, or would we become something else? The Grandfather Paradox asks us to imagine the unimaginable and appreciates the mystery and beauty of human existence in the present.

Air India Pilots Upset after Kathmandu ATC Take Unusual Step after Mid-air Incident

0

INDIA: India has requested Nepal’s aviation authorities provide details regarding a near-miss incident between an Air India and Nepal Airlines flight near Kathmandu on March 24, 2023.

However, senior officials have stated they are still waiting for a response. According to reports, Air India pilots are extremely upset about the “unusual” step taken by Kathmandu air traffic control (ATC) after the Airbus A-319 flight landed.

The incident involved two senior captains, one woman and one man, flying from Delhi to Kathmandu.

Reports suggest that the pilots of Air India’s flight (AI 213) informed authorities that Kathmandu air traffic control had requested them to descend from 19,000 feet to 15,000 feet, the same altitude that Nepal Airlines’ flight from Kuala Lumpur (RNA 416) was flying. Then the two aircraft had to veer apart to avoid a collision.

The pilots stated that the ATC did not ask them why they were descending as they passed through 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15,000 feet when the traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) alarms went off in both planes.

After the incident, the Nepalese airport authorities asked the woman pilot to come and meet with ATC officials. Multiple pilots have described the experience as highly improper.

The lady pilot offered to speak over the telephone, but they asked her to come in person.

The authorities took her to a dingy room, where five officials spoke to her about the incident.

Indian aviation authorities have asked Nepal to submit details of the incident, along with ATC transcripts and evidence.

People in the know have stated that there was an incident and that an investigation is required to ascertain who was at fault.

It is essential to determine whether ATC gave the wrong instructions to one or both aircraft and/or whether one or both aircraft misunderstood the instructions.

As a result of the incident, the officials have suspended three air traffic controllers (ATCOs) at Kathmandu Airport, and the Air India pilots operating the flight (AI 213) have been taken off flying duty pending investigation.

The collision avoidance system issues two types of advisories to pilots: first, a traffic advisory (TA) to give a warning to the crews of two planes that they are heading in the same direction, and secondly, a resolution advisory (RA) that requires the cockpit crew to take evasive action to avoid mid-air collisions.

This incident highlights the importance of air traffic control and the critical role of the ATC in ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.

The incident raises concerns about the protocols in place for communication between pilots and ATC and the need for effective investigation and corrective training to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Japanese Private Lunar  “Hakuto-R” Lander Captures Stunning Image of Moon’s Surface

JAPAN: The Hakuto-R moon lander, developed by the Japanese company Ispace, has returned a breathtaking, fresh image of the moon.

The spacecraft snapped a sunlit section of the lunar surface, displaying a range of brightly lit impact craters against the dark backdrop of space.

The image was shared on Twitter by iSpace following the spacecraft’s arrival in lunar orbit on March 20.

https://twitter.com/ispace_inc/status/1640305097845481473

The image, captured by a lander-mounted camera, shows partially shadowed craters on the edge of the moon’s visible disc.

Hakuto-R launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on December 11, 2022. If all goes as planned, the spacecraft will land safely on the moon around the end of April.

The mission’s success would make Japan the fourth country to have a successful soft landing on the moon, after the United States, the Soviet Union, and China.

It would also be the first-ever landing on the moon by a privately operated spacecraft, marking a historic milestone in the global space race.

Ispace also shared that the spacecraft carries the tiny Rashid rover for the United Arab Emirates space agency. The company promised that more stunning views of the moon would come as it prepared for its landing attempt.

https://twitter.com/ispace_inc/status/1640279646414712832

India and Israel both attempted a lunar landing in 2019 but failed. The Chandrayaan 2 lander by India and SpaceIL’s Beresheet faced issues during the landing attempts.

Ispace is also working on its second and third missions, targeting launches in 2024 and 2025.

The private space exploration company has secured multiple contracts with Japanese companies, intending to launch commercial missions to the moon.

Ispace was founded in 2010 to create a sustainable ecosystem on the moon. The company’s innovative technology and collaborations with international space agencies are taking it closer to achieving its mission.

The Twin Paradox: How One Twin Can Age Slower Than the Other

0

INDIA: One of the most intriguing paradoxes in physics is the Twin Paradox, which challenges our understanding of time and relativity. Albert Einstein introduced the ‘Twin Paradox’ in his theory of special relativity, and it has been a subject of debate and fascination among scientists ever since.

The Twin Paradox goes like this: Imagine two identical twins, Alice and Bob, born on the same day. Alice stays on Earth while Bob travels in a spacecraft that travels close to the speed of light. When Bob returns, he will have aged less than Alice, despite being born simultaneously and being identical in every way.

https://twitter.com/drewolbrich/status/1640475188621094913

The Paradox seems to defy common sense, as we know that time passes at a fixed rate and that nothing can manipulate it.

However, the Twin Paradox is a direct consequence of Einstein’s theory of special relativity, which states that time and space are relative and depend on the observer’s frame of reference.

To understand the Twin Paradox, we must delve into the physical concepts of time dilation.

According to special relativity, time passes slower for objects that move relative to an observer. This motion means that if Bob is travelling close to the speed of light, time will pass slower for him than it would for Alice, who is stationary on Earth.

The Lorentz transformation concept, a mathematical formula used to calculate the effects of special relativity, can also explain the Twin Paradox.

The formula shows that time dilation is a consequence of the fact that light’s speed is constant and that it cannot be exceeded by any means.

In other words, as Bob travels close to the speed of light, his clock appears to slow down from Alice’s perspective, while his own experience of time remains constant.

When Bob returns to Earth, he will have aged less than Alice because his clock was running slower while he was in motion.

https://twitter.com/UberFacts/status/1307393027648958468

Scientists have demonstrated the Twin Paradox in several experiments, including one conducted by the U.S. Naval Observatory in 1971.

In the experiment, they synchronised two atomic clocks, and one was flown around the world in a jet while the other remained on the ground.

When the team compared the clocks after the flight, they found that the flying clock aged less than the stationary clock.

It means that time travel to the future is theoretically possible, as an object travelling close to the speed of light would age slower than a stationary observer.
