NIGERIA: About 200 persons have been reportedly killed in a recent attack by the armed bandits in Anka and Bukkuyum local government areas of Zamfara State, Northern Nigeria. It was gathered that the perpetrators came into the community en masse with motorcycles to carry out the attack.
The Coordinator of a civil society organization known as Zamfara Circle, Shawwal Aliyu told the newsmen that so far about 200 dead bodies of the locals have been identified and buried.
Aliyu added that the 200 bodies recovered are from Thursday, Friday and Saturday attacks and the team of volunteers are still in search of more corpses.

Despite challenges in eliminating the criminals, Buhari further assured the Zamfara residents and Nigerians continued support of protection of lives and properties.
Buhari, therefore, tasked security forces to do more to bring an end to the incessant killings in the country.
