ITALY: Benelli’s most recent offering, the BKX 250 ADV, when compared to Benelli’s TRK adventure bike lineup, is positioned as the brand’s newest beginner-friendly adventure model.

When it goes on sale, the BKX 250 ADV will compete with some of the most well-liked entry-level ADVs, including the KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX, and BMW G 310 GS.

Adventure bikes have recently undergone a styling renaissance, moving from being bulky and pointed to being inspired by rally and enduro bikes.

Style-wise, the new Benelli BKX 250 ADV has a rugged look that also feels purposeful. It also has a single-piece seat, an upswept exhaust, a sculpted fuel tank with massive shrouds, and LED lighting.

For added security, the BKX 250 gets guards for the handlebars. The hardware configuration consists of a rear mono-shock suspension with preload adjustment and inverted front forks.

The Benelli BKX 250’s brakes are dual-channel ABS with 240mm and 280mm single discs as standard. All-purpose tyres and wheels with wire-spoked spokes measure 17 inches.

Benelli’s performance comes from a 249 cc engine rated at 26 horsepower and 14 lb-ft of torque.

The single-cylinder engine mates with a six-speed manual gearbox, and a steel tube frame houses the assembly.

In general, the level of performance of the BKX 250 ADV is more than adequate for the market and gives novice riders the impression that they are riding an authentic adventure bike.

Benelli keeps things simple in terms of technology, with a backlit LCD instrument cluster and a USB charging outlet for your gadgets.

Benelli’s newest quarter-litre adventure bike has not yet been priced or made available. The bike is likely to target the Asian market.

Likely, Benelli will first introduce the BKX 250 to the international market. In addition, the BKX will face competition from the Royal Enfield Himalayan, BMW G 310 GS, and KTM 250 Adventure in India.
