CHINA: According to the Chinese foreign minister, who mentioned this to his Israeli and Palestinian counterparts, China is willing to aid in initiating peace talks. Beijing’s intention to position itself as a regional mediator is happening simultaneously as two different phone calls occur between Gang and the top diplomats from Israel and Palestine.

In a phone call on Monday with Eli Cohen, Israel’s foreign minister, Gang mentioned that “China is ready to provide convenience for this.” In a conversation with the Palestinian foreign minister, Riyad Al-Maliki, Gang states that Beijing would want a quick rendering of peace talks.

Implementing a two-state solution is in the worldview, with Gang highlighting its need. Gang also said, “Israel is concerned about the current tension between Israel and Palestine, and the current top priority is to bring the situation under control and prevent the conflict from escalating or even getting out of control.”

The restoration of ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia has been brokered as China embarks on a new diplomatic offensive. Gang highlights, “Saudi Arabia and Iran recently restored diplomatic relations through dialogue, setting a good example of overcoming differences through dialogue.”

The deal can significantly affect the Yemen Civil War, as both sides would be involved in the proxy war. Beijing initiated a peace plan for Ukraine in February following a conversation between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. Nuclear force augmentation, according to the leaders, should be avoided. However, Russia’s withdrawal of its forces was not mentioned explicitly.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy, president of Ukraine, supported the suggestion, although other Western leaders overwhelmingly rejected it. However, he added that it would only be acceptable if it resulted in Putin withdrawing his soldiers from all seized Ukrainian land.
