INDIA.Bihar: Paswan, the former chief of the Lok Janshakti Party, pointed fingers at JD(U) for being a divided party. He said that he is just being a model following his father Ram Vilas Paswan.

Ahead of all the rifts, the national president RCP Singh called JDU “a sinking ship” after receiving a notice of corruption allegations.

Addressing a press conference Paswan slammed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying, “Nitish Kumar’s presence hardly helped his party in the 2020 elections. Isn’t he part of the Chirag model? Janta Dal (United) is no longer United but divided. What kind of language did their national president use against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar? The Chief Minister should not be scared of the “Chirag model.”

Adding more to it he said, “Those who are advocating for Nitish Kumar, these are the people who are plotting against him. What did Upendra Kushwaha say about Mr Kumar during the assembly elections in 2020? Has the Chief Minister forgotten? Does he only remember the Chirag model? Why, because you suffered a debacle because of the “Chirag model.”

He also took a veiled swipe at Kumar for his attempts to stay in power, drawing an analogy from the Mahabharata.

“Like Kansa he is trying to kill every Devaki child. Look at Sharad Yadavji, George Fernandes. Look how he conspired against senior leaders of his party. Can people forget that. What did Prashant do to Kishor?” said Paswan.

Paswan’s reply came after JD(U) president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan blamed him for the party’s poor performance in the 2020 assembly elections.

Lalan Singh said that in 2020, at the time of the Bihar elections, the BJP had deployed the Chirag model to ensure that Nitish Kumar’s votes were split, resulting in his party winning just 43 of the 243 parliamentary seats in the state.

Talking about his father Paswan said, “What does Nitish Kumar know about Ram Vilas model of development, his Bihar first, Bihari first model? Nitish Kumar did not leave an opportunity to attack my father.”

Furious Paswan also made some serious charges against Kumar by saying, “Like Kansa, he is trying to kill every child of Devaki. Look at Sharad Yadavji, George Fernandes. Look how he has conspired against senior leaders in his party. Can the people forget all this? What did he do to Prashant Kishor.”
