Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa is Gearing Up to Debut in October 2022

JAPAN: Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa is set to debut soon, and, a new promotional video has been released ahead of the release. The spinoff to the most popular detective-mystery anime is gearing up to build the hype factor among fans. 

Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa new update unveiled

Based on Myuko Kanba’s Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa manga series, the anime emerges as the spinoff to the original show, Detective Conan. The manga series bagged an anime adaptation as a Netflix original series on October 4, 2021. The streaming behemoth also announced the arrival of the mystery-thriller show in October 2022.

The makers of the anime released a full promotional video as the release date is only a few months away. The official video unveils the exact release date of the anime, which is October 3, 2022. The clip also features the opening theme song ‘’Tsukamaete Konya’’ by Leon Niihama. Mai Kuraki’s ‘’Secret Voice of My Heart’’ also emerges as the ending theme song in the preview video.

When and where to watch?

The anime series will be available in Japan on Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV channels from October 3, 2022. The anime series will also stream on Netflix globally from October 4, 2022.

Akitaro Daichi directed Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa. The director is popular for his work in 2011 Fruit Basket, Ninja Girl & Samurai Master, and Kamisama Kiss. TMS Entertainment will produce the anime series. Shota Aoi will voice the lead character, Hanazawa, and Inori Minase will voice Hanzawa’s pet, Pometaro.

Fu Chisaka provided the character design, and Mayumi Nakajima joined as the art director. Studio Cocolo developed the anime adaptation under the art supervision of Nakamura.

In addition to the spinoff anime, Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween was released in Japan on April 15, 2022. The anime feature marked the 25th film in the Detective Conan movie franchise. Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween also emerged as the second-highest-grossing feature in the film series.
