UNITED STATES: The Republican leader and former US President Donald Trump are amid impugning as Federal agents conducted a raid on his Mar-A-Lago residence. The ex-President confirmed the news by posting a statement on his social media.
“These are dark times for our country,” he said, “because my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.” “It is prosecutorial misconduct, weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024,” he continued.
FBI conducted this sudden encroachment at Trump’s address, suspecting him of hiding top confidential. If the agency finds any proof against him, they will put Trump into legal inconvenience. The Department of Justice and FBI made no official confirmation about the raid, leading to political disputes.
According to sources, the former President is hiding sensitive material from his time in the White House. This year, anonymous boxes of classified documents, including some “top secret” marked papers, were recovered from his Florida home.
Trump calls the entire act of raid “prosecutorial misconduct” and even goes on to say, “unannounced raid was not necessary or appropriate”.
