UNITED STATES: As expected, Kate Moss testified in favour of Johnny Depp and ended rumours about an allegation made against Johnny Depp in court by Amber Heard. On May 25, Moss appeared via video link before a Fairfax, Virginia, jury as a rebuttal witness in Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s defamation trial.

Earlier, Amber Heard testified in court that she immediately thought of “Kate Moss and stairs” during a fight with Johnny that included her sister Whitney.

Meanwhile, Moss told the judge about an incident in the 1990s while she and Depp were on vacation.

“We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm and as I left the room, I slipped down the stairs and I hurt my back,” she said.

She continued, “And I screamed because I was in because I didn’t know what happened to me, and I was in pain and he came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention.” Moss also added that during the whole course of their relationship, which lasted between 1994 and 1998, “He never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.”

During their nearly two-year marriage, Johnny Depp, 58, and Amber Heard, 36, have accused each other of violence. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million, saying in a 2018 Washington Post column that “I became a public figure symbolising domestic abuse,” she defamed him.

Heard did not say the actor’s name, but she was evidently referring to him. Heard is suing Depp for $100 million, saying he “illegally targeted” her in an “ongoing harassment and online smear campaign.” The Virginia trial is scheduled to conclude on May 27.
