Mike Batayeh: “Breaking Bad” Fame Actor Passes away at 52

Batayeh was also a comedian who performed in the US and the Middle East

UNITED STATES: Batayeh, an actor and comedian, had a heart attack on June 1 and passed away in his sleep at home in Michigan. His family released a statement in which they stated that he would be greatly missed by those who loved him and those who took pleasure in his career. He had no previous history of heart issues.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul starrer Breaking Bad, a popular AMC show that aired from 2008 to 2013, featured Batayeh in three of its episodes in 2011.

In the programme, Batayeh played Dennis Markowski, the manager of the infamous Lavandera Brillante industrial laundromat, which served as a front for a sizable meth lab operation.

Mike was a comedian and voice actor who has appeared in a variety of films and TV shows, including American Dreamz, Detroit Unleaded, The Bernie Mac Show, CSI: Miami, and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

According to reports, Mike is survived by five siblings and a large extended family and was honoured by his coworkers and co-stars. Director and friend of the late actor, Rola Nashef wrote on Facebook, “A devastating loss of a huge life – Mike Batayeh, you were everybody’s friend.”

Yorg Kerasiotis, a co-star in Detroit Unleaded with Batayeh, expressed his love and admiration for the actor, saying he was a superstar and one of the funniest men he had ever known. Yorg added “Please rest in peace.”

Batayeh was a comedian who performed in the US and the Middle East, appeared in a comedy special for Showtime Arabia, and gave a performance at a comedy festival in Amman.
