PAKISTAN: The Pakistan cricket team was humiliated by Zimbabwe on Thursday in the T20 World Cup 2022, effectively eliminating them from the competition.

The outcome sparked a flood of derogatory comments on social media, with many former cricketers blaming Ramiz Raja, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), for the team’s underwhelming performance in Australia.

Pakistan’s one of the best pacers, Mohammad Amir, recently said that Raja should step down as chairman of the PCB in the wake of the squad’s disgraceful performance against the weak Zimbabwean team.

“From day one I said poor selection ab is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it’s time to get rid of the so-called chairman jo PCB ka khuda bana hwa hai and so-called chief selector (I have said from day one that who will take the responsibility for poor team selection? I think it’s time to get rid of the so-called PCB chairman and the so-called chief selector, “ Amir said.

Numerous factors have been suggested by previous cricketers, analysts, and Pakistan team supporters, including inadequate application on the field and dubious team selection.

Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, acknowledged that his team’s lack of effort with the bat in the game led to their failure to successfully chase down a total of 131 runs.

The last match’s result has seriously threatened Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Pakistan has so far suffered two losses after losing to India in the tournament’s opening match. The team is currently ranked fifth out of six teams in Group 2.

Meanwhile, today’s match between Australia and England has been abandoned, and earlier, at the same ground, the match between Ireland and Afghanistan was also abandoned.

Both the games were called off without a single ball being bowled. Tomorrow there will be only a single match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
